Amazon Family Picnic

In July, we had the privilege of attending the Amazon family picnic. This was not your average work picnic. Amazon rented out CenturyLink Field, which is where the Seahawks play football.

The place was full of everything and anything that would be fun for kids of all ages. There were tons of bounce houses, rock climbing, lazor tag, basketball, all different types of performances, science and craft booths, tattoos, balloon animals, a petting zoo, all kinds of food, and a toddler area with fake grass, toddler toys, goldfish crackers and applesauce pouches. I'm sure I missed several things but you get the point!

The kids all got these adorable Amazon capes.

This was such a fun day for the whole family. We are already looking forward to next year!

Scenes from July

July was such a fun month. I am a little sad to see it go. Here are some pictures that didn't make it on the blog.

Adventures in Seattle: Seafair Weekend

I am a little behind on posting so I decided to post the most recent pictures and hopefully I'll find time to do a couple other posts this week with everything else. This past weekend was so fun. Our neighborhood had Summerfest, which meant that there was all kinds of activities going on. Seafair is a festival that encompasses several neighborhood events as well as larger city wide events including an air show and hydroplane racing.

On Saturday, we stayed in Magnolia and enjoyed the neighborhood parade with friends.

The girls had so much fun watching the floats and eating candy.

Maxwell was in the annual baby race!

I think he was either nervous with the crowd or didn't like the grass because he didn't get the memo that it was a race. He just stayed in one spot. HAHA.

We watched people dance with fire.

The girls went on a half dozen different bounce houses over several hours.

Max was his usual happy self.

Mia even tried surfing.

We ended the night watching the neighborhood talent show, which was really fun.

On Sunday, we drove to watch the air show and hydroplanes.

The girls weren't that interested but we told them that it was our anniversary so we got to pick something that was fun for us.

We saw a lot of really cool airplanes and some got really close.

Joe dressed Maxwell in matching clothes which was pretty adorable.

And, Naomi is becoming quite good at posing in pictures.

Joe and I ended the weekend with a kid free date night to celebrate being married for 7 years! We splurged on some authentic Japanese sushi at Shiro's Sushi. The owner is the son of Jiro from the documentary, Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

Joe thought it was the best thing ever.

Since we've moved to Seattle we have definitely been enjoying everything this city has to offer and I have loved every minute of it. ENJOY is my word for 2015 and Joe has helped make that word a reality for me this year. I am seriously so blessed to have such a caring, hardworking, and dedicated husband. Joe works so hard all week and still pours into his family on the weekends. I am truly enjoying being married for 7 years and think this is going to be one of the best years yet.
