We're Moving!!

As most of you know, we put our house on the market late summer.  At the time, we were planning on moving to Stapleton, which is a great community that is close to downtown Denver and the airport.  This was going to make a huge difference in Joe's commute to both work and the airport.

After our house was on the market for a couple of months and no offers, we decided to try a different realtor.  We listed with a new realtor in October and she got us a contract within a couple of weeks.  The buyers agreed on closing on Dec. 2 so we could be in our home when our baby was born.

During this time, Joe was interviewing with Amazon and got the job.  Since Amazon is in Seattle, we are moving to WA!  It's all been a little crazy and surreal.  Thankfully, Amazon provides a generous move package to make the transition as smooth as possible.  Movers will be here on Monday and Tuesday to pack our house and will load the truck on Wednesday. Wednesday night we will stay in a hotel in Denver and fly to Seattle on Thursday.  Amazon has provided us with 2 months of fully furnished temporary housing (since majority of our stuff will be in storage until we move into our new home)while we find a house.  It's going to be crazy adventure with 3 little ones!

It hasn't really hit me that we are moving. It probably won't seem real until our stuff is getting packed up.  I've been finding myself holding and enjoying Maxwell instead of getting things done.  Thankfully, my mom is here right now to help out and give the girls attention.

There are so many memories in this house. The first house Joe and I bought together and the house we brought all of our babies home to.  We've lived in Colorado our whole marriage- it's where I've learned how to be a wife and a mom. We have so many wonderful memories in this beautiful State and Colorado will always hold a special place in my heart.

Meet Maxwell

Here are some pictures from the hospital and when we first got home.  I'll write the birth story later but wanted to get some pictures up in the meantime.  We are all doing so well.  Maxwell has already passed his birth weight and is nursing like a champ!  I'm feeling really good and am loving having a newborn again!

Meeting my sweet boy for the first time.

First bath.

Proud daddy.

Meeting his sisters for the first time.  They love him so much.

Naomi would have carried him around the room if I would have let her.

First car ride.

Proud sisters.

Mia made this book for her brother. It was so sweet when she gave it to him.

It's amazing how much I love this little guy. He is the perfect Christmas gift this year.

Week 39!

Dear Baby Boy,

It's probably a good thing you didn't come out this week because it has been freezing outside!  Thank you for being a little space heater inside me. : )  It's suppose to warm up a little bit this week so hopefully it won't be such a shock when you go outside for the first time.

I think I've complained more this past week than I have my whole pregnancy but I've been quite uncomfortable.  I think you've maxed out the womb because I can barely bend over and even sitting feels tight and uncomfortable.  My lower back has also been in quite a bit of pain, which seems to be a normal symptom the closer you get to labor.  We are slowly making progress and getting closer to delivery.  At my appointment on Tuesday I was 3 cm and 80% effaced.

I am just so excited to meet you!  I can't even handle it.  Yes, I know life is going to be a little more challenging with 3 kids and I'm going to be super tired but I know it will be worth it.  You are worth every bit of discomfort and every sleepless night.  You are already loved by many.  The middle name we chose for you means gift of God, which I truly believe you are.  I prayed and prayed for you and you were the perfect gift at the perfect time.  God truly cares about the desires of our hearts and showed me that at a time when I needed it most.  I love you so much and am beyond excited to meet you in about a week!

Love always,
Mommy

Picture Update

I started this blog post awhile ago and never finished it.  So, I decided to add some recent pictures and have a post of a random assortment of pictures.

I find several photos like this on my phone from my girls hijacking my phone and taking selfies.

Mia draws the cutest people.  I really can't even handle how much I love her artwork right now.

Mia and I went to MN for a weekend in early October to attend my friend, Nicki's wedding.  I decided to take Mia so we could have bonding time and it was such a great decision.

Me and my nephew, Ryder.  He is the sweetest boy.

Me and Mia at the wedding.

My friend, Katie and I.  Katie is the friend I've had the longest- we've been friends since 4th grade!  It was so great to see her and her adorable family.  She lives in Maryland and is also a busy mom so we don't talk or see each other nearly as much as I would like.

The bride, Nicki, who looked amazing!

Back to pictures of Mia and Naomi...

The most recent pictures, which were taken a couple days ago...

Naomi has been making sure that baby brother is healthy.  He still isn't showing many signs that he's ready to face this crazy world but hopefully this week he'll make his appearance!
