Scenes from June and July
I can't believe there's only a month left of summer!! Thankfully, school starts later here. Mia's first day of kindergarten is September 12 so we still have time to pack in a bunch of fun. Summer has been low-key but full of fun. I kept our schedule pretty open so we could enjoy playing at home, going to the beach/park, and have fun play-dates.
Our scheduled activities this summer include gymnastics and swim lessons for both girls. Maxwell does great cheering them on!
I splurged this year and bought a big pool for the kids. It was super fun until raccoons destroyed it! : (
We decided to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island again this year for the 4th of July parade, which is always a fun adventure.
One fun thing we did in July is watch the life cycle of butterflies. We ordered a kit that came with 5 caterpillars. We watched them eat, eat, and eat some more, turn into chrysalides, and become butterflies! It was such a fun experience for all of us.
