6 Months

Levi Matthew
19lbs 6oz (81%)
28in (95%)
Head Circumference: 17.7in (92%)
Diapers: size 3
Clothing: 12-18month

This precious little guy lights up our house. He is so happy all the time and just goes with the flow.

He is still exclusively breastfed and being that we're never apart, he's never tried a bottle (minus the little bit of supplementing that we had to do in the hospital after he was born since his blood sugar was low). We started giving him pureed fruits and vegetables last week and he's not really a fan. He clamps his mouth down and when he gets some food in his mouth, he usually gags. We're taking it slow and know he'll get there!

Levi can sit up on his own and can roll from tummy to back. He has found his voice and every once in awhile will give us a mama and dada. The first time he said mama and dada was in the middle of the night when we were trying to sleep train and lets just say that he got wanted because daddy couldn't resist his cute little voice calling out for us! : )

Here's the other kids' 6 month posts...

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Joe and the kids convinced me to decorate before Thanksgiving this year and I'm glad that we did because it's been so nice enjoying the Christmas decorations. Everything seems a little less chaotic (if that's even possible at our house) with twinkling lights in the background. We put on last years Christmas pjs (and thankfully the babies had some things that matched) to decorate.

A few days after Thanksgiving our elf, Jack came and brought Christmas pajamas and DIY ornaments for everyone. Coincidentally, Joe picked up the most delicious vegan donuts from Whole Foods that made the morning that much sweeter!

Having our annual breakfast once Jack arrives is our favorite way to kick off the Christmas season!

Scenes from November

We had some amazing weather in November and we took full advantage of it!

We had a great month of homeschooling. We studied Asia and had fun making some "sushi". Don't worry, we ordered real sushi for dinner as well!

Both babies are a part of our school day. They don't get read as many baby books as I would like but hopefully they're learning a lot by listening to me teach the big kids.

We ended our Asia unit with presentations. Each kid got to choose a country, animal, or landmark to present. They worked so hard on their posters and did a great job presenting the information to the family. Studying Asia made us all pretty excited to travel there someday!

Levi finally got upgraded from a bassinet to a crib

and continues to make the world brighter by constantly smiling.

Having two babies is super busy but so much fun

and the big kids love that there's always a baby to play with.

My dear friend, Emily knit this blanket for Levi. He and I both love it so much!

It wouldn't be a November post without mentioning Thanksgiving! Even though we didn't celebrate with anyone this year, we still made a feast and it was so delicious (plus we had leftovers for days)!

Maxwell is 6!

My little guy turned 6 on November 18th! Maxwell is such a sweet boy and has really taken his role as big brother to baby M and Levi seriously. We had a fun day celebrating him with crepes for breakfast followed by presents and an afternoon of painting pottery, eating Punch Pizza, and spending time together as a family.

It has been so fun being his kindergarten teacher this year. He is learning to read and learning to do subtraction and addition. I just love watching him learn so many new things...it makes my heart want to explode.
