Scenes From October (finally)
October was AMAZING. It was a month of adventures that started with a road trip to Colorado to spend time with our dear friends followed by a girls weekend in Pittsburgh.
Emily and her girls came and stayed with us at a hotel which was so much fun for all of us.
This two have been friends since they were 1 and always pick right back up where they left off.
Naomi and Mackenzie were only 2.5 when we moved away (they're only 10 days apart) but they both think of each other often and love when we get together.
Naomi was completely devastated when we had to say goodbye.
We also were able to have a fun, park play date with our dear friends Elmarie and Jordan and their kiddos.
We even drove by our old house and spent some time playing at our old neighborhood park. This ended up being more emotional for Miss Mia than we anticipated.
In true Colorado fashion, it went from 70 and sunny one day to cold and snowy the next.
We spent the snowy day playing at my friend, Hillary's house. I'm so bummed I didn't get any other pictures besides this one of Maxwell being silly.
Our last night in Colorado was spent at the pool. We had the whole pool to ourselves, which was SO much fun and a perfect ending to a fun trip.
I wasn't even home for 48hrs and then I was off to Pittsburgh to spend time with these amazing ladies. (Yes, Emily and I saw each other twice this month!)
We did all kinds of fun stuff but one of the highlights from the trip was taking an aerial silks class.
I also got to try the Impossible Burger, which is made entirely of plants.
Our last night in Pittsburgh was spent downtown. These ladies are such incredible women. I strongly believe God strategically placed each one in my life.
I got home from Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon and Joe had to leave for Seattle the next day. It was a bummer but I was thankful for a recharge before tackling a week alone.
While Joe was in Seattle, Great Grandma Esteb and Great Aunt Jane came over to visit and bring Mia birthday presents, which was such a fun surprise.
We had such a fun time
and they completely spoiled the kids!
Mia's friend, Nora also came over for a play date and brought Mia a birthday present...
a Hatchimal!!!
We also made a snowman. Thankfully I got a quick picture before Maxwell destroyed Frosty.
Once daddy returned home, everyone was happy.
For Halloween this year, we had 2 cats and a dragon/Batman.
Trick or treating in our neighborhood was so much fun!
The neighborhood kids (there's just a few).
Handing out candy after trick or treating is the perfect ending to a super fun night and month.
