Letter of the Week: Bb
Mia LOVED all of these books and so did I. Butterfly Butterfly is a great book if you are working on color recognition.
B is for Balls and Blue
B is for Bee
Mia finger-painted her B before we added the stripes.
Here is Mia's book review in pictures...she hugged the book when I asked her if she liked it. : )
Even though Mia has known majority of the colors for awhile, she still mixes up black and brown. We spent some time sorting different black and brown things to help her better recognize the two colors. (This is how I starting working on colors with Mia when she was 1.)
B is for Butterfly
I made this one up so I'll give some directions.
1. trace your child's feet
2. let them color or paint them
3. cut the feet and a long oval for the middle of the butterfly
4. glue together (see below)
Mia loved sorting the uppercase and lowercase Bb butterflies. She was very proud...can you tell?
B is for Bear
We had so much fun reading about bears. All of these books were also great. A Splendid Friend, Indeed, is very short and simple, but Mia loves it and since we own the book, it is read quite frequently.
I forgot the ears on our little B bear...oops!
