Letter of the Week: Mm
I am getting a little behind in my letter of the week posts. With the new playroom and Naomi's birthday, we've taken a couple weeks to complete the last two letters. The best part of doing this at home with Mia is that there are no deadlines or a specific timeline that we must follow. We are going at her pace, which is so great!
M is for Marshmallow
M is for Mia
Obviously, most people will not want to use Mia for the letter M, but be sure to celebrate your child's name when you teach them the letter their name starts with.
This is a super cute activity that I've seen all over the web. Simply, spell your child's name or just write a letter with blue painter's tape.
Have your child paint all over the page. (I did have to help her a little to be sure paint was surrounding the tape).
Once the paint dries, peel off the tape and admire your name.
M is for Mouse
This activity turned out super cute but wasn't very toddler friendly. Mia liked how it looked at the end but wasn't that interested in the process.
This mouse color recognizing activity was so great! I found it at All Our Days in the M is for Mouse section. Be sure you print it in color so your toddler can 'read' each color word by recognizing the color. Mia completed this by herself while I was making dinner. She was so proud of herself!
M is for Mermaid
Mia has loved mermaids ever since seeing the mermaid show at our local aquarium. If you ever go to the Downtown Aquarium in Denver be sure to see the show, your little ones will love it!
M is for Muffin
