Although we missed the excitement and busyness of going back to MN for Christmas, we had a really nice Christmas in WA. We got to open presents on our own time, which happened to start at 4:30am! The kids played with toys after they opened them, there was no rushing or waiting and having Jake here made it extra special. Thank you to everyone that sent presents, we felt so loved every time a new package arrived at the door (and it made Christmas morning even more exciting!) We are very blessed by our generous family.

On Christmas Eve we had our Christmas meal and went to church in the evening. We kept things simple, which is exactly what we needed in this busy season. Joe's brother, Jake came to visit, which was so fun for everyone.

Christmas Eve is always sentimental because it's our elf, Jack's last day with us until next year. The girls always get teary eyed saying goodbye.
