Mediterranean Cruise: Sicily and Pompeii
On day 2 of our cruise, Joe and I left the kids on the boat in the kids club and explored Sicily on our own. It was so nice having a couple of hours just the two of us exploring a new city.
That night we had some amazing views of Mt. Etna, which is one of Europe's highest active volcanoes.
On day 3 the whole crew was off to explore the ancient city of Pompeii.
I brought ring pops for the kids to enjoy at the beginning of the tour, which helped everyone start off on a happy note. Much to our surprise, the kids did amazing during our 2hr guided tour. They loved walking on the uneven surfaces and seeing and learning about things from a long time ago.
Naomi even brought her notebook to take notes. : )
Every great day in Italy ends with gelato
and every great day on a cruise ship ends with a towel animal.
Up next: Rome and Florence
