3 Months

Naomi Kate
3 months
Clothing: 6 months (she fits into some 3 month and some 9 month)
Diapers: size 2

Naomi loves her paci but

will settle for her hand when it's not available.

She is so sweet and calm.

She sleeps through the night almost every night.

She will smile every time you talk to her.

She almost always is wearing a bow,

LOVES bath time,

loves her sister,

and loves playing with her activity mat on the floor.

Seriously, I can't get enough of her smile, baby chub and sweet cuddles.

If every baby was like her, we would have a population problem.  LOVE.

Oregon Family Vacation

We just got back from our first vacation as a family of four and it couldn't have gone better.  I think it's appropriate to call this vacation, Joe's blast from the past.  Joe lived in Oregon for most of his childhood and had a lot of fun reviving some memories as we explored his old stomping grounds.

The girls did great on the airplane.  Joe and I weren't able to sit side by side on the airplane because there's only enough oxygen masks for one lap child in each row.

When we arrived at our rental car, we were pleasantly surprised to see that we had a shiny blue Mustang waiting for us.  Unfortunately, it wasn't big enough for all of our precious cargo so we had to settle with a Chevy Impala instead.  Major bummer for my hubby.

We spent our first day in Florence, which is a small coastal town.  Joe's dad met us there and Mia had some good bonding time with Grandpa.

This view never gets old.

On our second day in Florence, we went to the Sea Lion caves, (only one sea lion was in the cave) but we still saw several outside by the water.

Naomi was such a trooper on this trip and just went with the flow.  Gosh, I love her.

You can't go to the coast without checking out the beach.  The beach was beautiful but definitely cold and windy.  Mia was excited to find a seashell and had fun playing in the sand.  However, she did not find taking a picture with daddy very fun.

When you're traveling with a toddler, you try to keep them happy so we spent some time at the park.

But, you also need to keep Mom and Dad happy so we ventured out to some wineries. We met up with one of Joe's old friends and she took us to two of her favorite wineries.  This first one had an amazing view (as you can see).  We got to try 6 different wines as we sat outside, relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. Don't worry, I fed Naomi right before and only took a teeny sip of each.

I think this is the first time we got a picture of the four of us. I love it.

We decided to head to Portland early on our last day so we could see the city before our 3:00 flight.  As we were brainstorming things to do on our 2 hour drive, we decided we would all have the most fun if we did something Mia would enjoy.  We decided to go to the Children's Museum.  It was a blast!  Mia had so much fun taking care of puppies, going grocery shopping, playing in water, playing with a giant light bright and many more things.  However, she did not enjoy taking her picture under the Portland Children's Museum sign!!

Totally random, but hilarious.  Mia loves rain sticks.  She gathered all of the rain sticks in the baby play area, and sat on this bench and held them for what seemed like an eternity. Finally we were able to distract her, so we could play with the other toys.

We're Off

In a few hours, the four of us are heading to Oregon.  Our first time flying as a family of four.  My first time in Oregon.  Our last time taking advantage of both girls flying free.  Two adults, two lap children, two large suitcases, three carry ons, one double stroller and two car seats...watch out Frontier Airlines, here we come!

Going to the Zoo

Every time we go to the zoo, we read, Going to the Zoo. It's a super cute book that is actually a song. Mia could read this book over and over just as she could go to the zoo over and over (luckily my Aunt Jane and Uncle David bought us a membership).
Last week was the first time I took both girls to the zoo alone.
 We had the best time.
I wasn't distracted talking to a friend.

Mia could spend as much time as she wanted looking at each animal.
I didn't get a picture, but the hippopotamus was her favorite.  We probably spent 15 min watching him play peek a boo as he would go under water and pop up for a quick breath.
In just 2 months, Mia will be 2!  This post is a hint at what her birthday theme will be. : )

6am

This is what 6am on Saturday morning looks like in my world...

Mia likes to start her day early.  On Saturdays, when Joe is home, we go for a run and play at the park to let daddy and Naomi sleep in.
It's early but at least I get to exercise and get some good one on one time with Mia.  And, yes, Mia wears her pajamas. : )

Cuddle Bug

Naomi is such a sweet baby.  When you hold her, she grabs on tight as if she is giving you a big hug.  I love these pictures of Naomi and her daddy cuddling after bath time.

Your Weekly Fill of Cell Phone Pics...

Joe captured this at dinner tonight...oh my goodness, I can't get enough of this girl!

Mia and Naomi wore matching green today.  Doesn't Mia look like a full blown toddler?!?! Oh wait, she is.

Mia came up with the getup yesterday. The bib was my favorite!
Naomi's neck is getting so strong!

 Check out those baby blues!

Me and my love on our 4th anniversary.
This was the year of the family date night...lame, I know.
We did enjoy yummy sushi, frozen yogurt and a visit to the park.
 A typical morning.
 Sweet, sweet, sisters.
Naomi hanging out in the stroller, being happy and cute as usual.

Sorry for the random post that may or may not even make sense, I don't have the energy to be creative tonight.  There are Olympics to be watched and a bed calling my name.  Total side note...did you know that Missy Franklin's (Olympic Swimmer) high school is literally a mile from my house?!?! She is pretty amazing and and is giving our state/city some positive news coverage!
