Scenes From June

This month we started swim lessons and finished the spring session of gymnastics.

Outdoor pools are hard to come by in Seattle but lucky for us, there's an outdoor pool really close to our house and thankfully I was informed of the popularity of the swim lessons so I called the second they started enrollment to get the girls registered for a couple sessions this summer.

Mia and her best buddy, Ella.

My mom was here for a week and half to watch the girls while we were on our cruise.

Maxwell decided to grow up a lot this month, which is making us all very sad.

My 3 babies not looking so babyish.

Maxwell might be the cutest 3rd wheel ever.

Yes, he still comes with on date nights.

The last day of spring gymnastics.  Both girls did so great.

They got their first report cards to mark their progress.

We are all loving the start of summer!

Alaska Cruise: Victoria, British Columbia

I think we should have put the sun visor up for this picture!  HAHA
Our last stop on the cruise was Victoria, BC. We decided to have a casual day just walking around and exploring the city by foot.

After dinner on the last night, Max fell sound asleep before the dessert came out. It was a long week for him but he did so amazing!  I'm so glad the 3 of us had the opportunity to explore Alaska (and a little bit of Canada) together. This cruise was definitely one of my favorite vacations. Now that Maxwell has his passport, we need to figure out where to explore next!

Alaska Cruise: Tracy Arm Fjord

Day 5 was spent cruising through the Tracy Arm Fjord, which was breathtaking.  We didn't get off the ship but the ship parked in front of the Sawyer Glacier so we could all enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I saw more waterfalls on this cruise than I've seen in my whole life. Joe and I were amazed at how long some of them were.

Joe wrapped me up like a burrito so I wouldn't be cold while enjoying the scenery.

This picture was taken at 10:15pm!  I had such a hard time going to sleep at night because I felt like I was going to miss something with it staying light out for so long.

Once we were near the glacier, there were lots of ice chunks in the water.

As we got closer we realized that there were hundreds of seals swimming around and sitting on the ice.

It was so fun to watch their behaviors in their natural habitat.

Not a bad view at breakfast.

I whale watched like it was my job on this cruise because I'm nerdy like that.  We did see a few whales from a distance but I never did get to see a whale breaching.

Here are some pictures that Joe was able to capture of some whales.  Can you find them?
