Date Night

Now that we have found a great babysitter, Joe and I have been trying to go on more dates.

We went to Trans-Siberian Orchestra last weekend.
The show was AMAZING; I highly recommend it.
It was the perfect start to the Holiday season and a great time with my love.

Fancy Nancy

        Source

We took Great Grandma out for frozen yogurt last night and Mia reminded me of the book, Fancy Nancy.  This book is about Nancy, who does everything fancy.  She wears fancy clothes and uses fancy words.  It's a super cute book that I highly recommend for preschool/ kindergarten aged girls

After I told Mia that we were going to get frozen yogurt, she disappeared into her playroom.  When she emerged, I couldn't help but chuckle and snap a few photos.  She was so proud of her look!

When we walked into the frozen yogurt place, all eyes were on Mia.  It was quite adorable.

She decided to take the glasses and headband off while we were eating,

but put them back on for the walk to the car.
I just love being a mommy to a 2 year old!

Kisses

Naomi gives the best kisses.  They are open mouth and full of drool.
I think Great Grandma would have come all the way from Minnesota just to get a smooch from this girl.

Denver Aquarium

My Grandma is visiting while Joe is on an International Trip for 2 weeks.  Having her here has been a nice distraction for me and Mia.  On Saturday we went to the aquarium.  It was the perfect thing to do since it was a cold and snowy day!

We saw a lot of fish of really cool fish.

Naomi loved looking at the water and seeing the fish swimming around.
Mia had a lot of fun exploring but got a little scared when big fish swam toward her.

Grandma really enjoyed seeing all of the different fish and coral.

And, Mia even found the buried treasure!

Happy Happy Halloween (a little late)

I actually started this post on Halloween but never finished it.  Since I am so behind, I just put all of our Halloween festivities together.

The Saturday before Halloween, I took the girlies to the zoo for some trick or treating.  Mia had so much fun! (I took this picture for Joe.)
It was pretty cold that morning but it warmed up nicely as the day went on.

Everyone thought Mia was a dragon since she didn't have the hood to her owl costume up.
That night, we went to our neighbors house for a neighborhood Halloween party.

Here is Mia after she ripped my tail off and proceeded to scream that she didn't want her costume on.

Halloween day was super fun since we started the morning at the pumpkin patch with my Moms Rock group.
 Naomi sat with some pumpkins,
 ate some hay,

showed off her baby blues,

and of course, cuddled with me.

Since Joe was gone at school, I didn't feel ambitious enough to carve a pumpkin with two little ones.

So, Mia painted her pumpkins and had so much fun doing it!

That night, we had our friends over for dinner.

Mia and Kennedy were so stinkin cute in their costumes.  These two are such sweet little friends!

Halloween ended with Mia shouting, "Are there anymore kids?!?"
And when there weren't, we went to bed.
