My Promotion

I can't believe my baby is already 1 month old.

This picture was taken today, exactly 1 month from when we met her for the first time.
The rest of the pictures are pictures from the last few weeks that I haven't yet posted.

It's amazing how much you can love someone you've only known for a month.

I think she is quite lucky to be the second born.

I now truly know how important it is to treasure every moment.

Because they grow up so fast.

I really love being a mommy of two.

If you've known me since I was little, it's like I've been preparing my whole life for this role.

Now that I have two, I feel like I've just recently got a promotion.

I feel so honored.

Five Girls

My mom came to visit a week after Naomi was born and she stayed for 3 weeks.  It was so nice to have her help while we were adjusting to being a family of 4.  Since Naomi has been born, Mia has decided to wake around 5am each morning, which is especially difficult since Naomi goes to bed late and sleeps in.  My mom so graciously got up with Mia most mornings so I could sleep until Naomi got up, which was sometimes as late as 8:00am. This was huge!  My sister came out the last week my mom was here.  It was so nice to be able to spend some time with her, and Mia enjoyed having lots of bonding time with her Auntie.

The first month after Naomi was born would have been very different for Mia had my mom and sister not been here...

She got to go swimming,

play with Mommy while Grandma held Naomi,

 take her baby for walks,

give Grandma kisses,

hang out/help BBQ on the deck,

 go to the zoo,

This was Mia's first time seeing an elephant since they just opened up a new elephant exhibit!

This rope attached two areas for the monkeys and was directly over the pedestrian walkway...it was pretty cool to see the monkey right above our heads.

go to the park,

and of course, cover Auntie Karla with lots of stuffed animals!

Thank you Grandma and Auntie Karla for playing with me and making me feel special while Mommy had to take care of Naomi.  I love you and can't wait to play again soon.
Love, Mia

Mia's Bike

Mia has been asking for a bike and helmet for a few weeks now.  She sees kids riding bikes at the park and around the neighborhood and after she see them, she says, "Me (she leaves the a off her name) bike."  Last weekend we went to a garage sale and found this "bike"...Mia was beyond excited.  We haven't had a chance to buy her her very own helmet, but luckily mine works for the time being!
