Western Caribbean Cruise: Part 4

I promise this is my last vacation post. This post has pictures from the last half of day 6, day 7, and day 8.

I forgot that we got back to the boat about 1:30ish when we went to Cozumel. Once we got back to the boat, the kids played for a little bit while we took turn giving them showers. Mia made this adorable smiley face with Wikki Sticks.

The kids Mia and Maxwell had fun playing with some of the toys that we rented from the nursery.

Not a bad view for afternoon playtime.

Yes, he is as precious as he looks.

We were even able to do a little rock climbing. Mia was a little bummed that the age limit was 6 years but she quickly got over it and just decided that she'll be able to rock climb on our next cruise. ; ) The girls have asked regularly if we can go on the exact same vacation again soon because they miss it so much!

Tons of choices and this is what she ate for dinner.

Another amazing day, another amazing sunset.

Naomi got some awesome face paint at the kids club. The girls went to the kids club every night after dinner, which was so fun for them and nice break for Joe and I.

One of my favorite memories from the vacation was my early morning time with Maxwell. He woke up around 5:15am most days and as soon as he woke up, I would get us both dressed (except this day) and we would leave the room so everyone else could sleep in. I didn't have my phone/camera with except the last morning since it was being used as a sound machine in the kids' room.

We would start every morning going to the coffee shop where I would get coffee and we would each get a bran muffin. The coffee shop was filled with us and lots of seniors, who LOVED seeing Maxwell. On the day we went to Cozumel, we didn't make it for morning coffee and several people asked where we were the next morning.

Usually it was just Maxwell and I in the early morning but Joe called me (on the walkie talkie) to grab Mia on this particular morning. After muffins and coffee, we would walk the whole ship and explore.

Mia found the mini-golf course on our last full-day! We were so excited to surprise Joe and Naomi after they woke-up.

Once everyone woke up, we got ready for the Character Breakfast!

It was so fun meeting some of the characters from Shrek. Naomi and Maxwell were a little unsure of Shrek though.

After breakfast, we went mini-golfing and took the kids to swim.

Later that day, while Maxwell was napping, Joe and the girls got to see Kung Fu Panda 3 in 3D! It was both girls' first movie in a theatre and first 3D movie.

Day 8, our last day. : (

One last picture before leaving our room. We had two rooms identical to this, which was so nice!

The girls in front of their room.

The bus ride to the airport was easy since 3 out of 5 of us slept.

There was more sleeping on the flight home.

I know I've probably said it in every post, but this was seriously an amazing trip. If money wasn't an issue, I'd cruise with the kids again in a heartbeat. I am already looking forward to our next family vacation AFTER Joe and I go on an adult only vacation that is. : )

Here are the other 3 posts from this vacation:

Western Caribbean Cruise: Part 3

Part 3 is all about days 5 and 6. On day 5 we woke up in Belize City, Belize. We decided not to do an excursion in Belize since we knew three busy days in a row would be a bit much for our crew and we didn't see any excursions that were worth the money for the ages of our kiddos. Since the ship wasn't able to park at the dock, we had to take a tender, which was a fun adventure in itself.

We just walked around and looked at the shops in Belize. It was super hot so we didn't stay out too long.

Naomi wanted one of everything! This girls is obsessed with small trinkets. : )

The water in Belize was breathtaking.

Once we got back to the ship, the kids swam while Maxwell napped. Then, we all showered and got ready for our 2nd formal night. I had the goal of getting a good family photo, which never seems to go as planned. Haha.

This guy is an absolute joy to travel with. I would go on another vacation with him in a heartbeat. He is the best.

My husband is pretty fun too! ; )

Yay! A family photo where everyone is looking!

Naomi got her special request, strawberries, at dinner.

Mia tried strawberry bisque soup and fell in love!

I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster and steak (not pictured) for dinner. Yes, I ordered two dinners to create the ultimate combo! Gotta love all inclusive.

Day 6 we woke up in Cozumel, Mexico. Since our excursion started super early (7:30am), we ordered room service for breakfast. It was so fun eating breakfast on the balcony watching the sunrise.

The girls in front of our ship, Liberty of the Seas.

For our excursion, we went to a resort that had Dolphins and other family friendly entertainment. The girls and Joe got to interact, kiss, and hold a dolphin. Unfortunately, Maxwell wasn't old enough so he and I watched from the dock.

They make most of their money off of photos so we weren't able to take our own pictures during the dolphin encounter. We didn't end up buying the pictures because we couldn't justify the steep price tag of over $100 for the pictures.

This was such a special experience for everyone since it was the kids' first time seeing dolphins!

After the dolphin encounter, we relaxed on the beach. The water was so clear so it was easy to see a lot of fun, exotic fish swimming around.

One benefit of having the early tour was that everything was pretty quiet when we were there. We were the first ones on the beach and it didn't get super busy until a little before we left.

We met a lot of fun creatures too! This little guy was scuttling across the sand, Maxwell really wanted to play with him.

We saw a couple of these giant iguanas, which was so neat.

The girls even saw a sea lion show and got to kiss the sea lion.

My little beach bums, these two played in the sand together for a long time.

Back to the cruise ship after another amazing day.

In case you missed the posts, here is part 1 and part 2.
