Mia's Birthday

On Mia's birthday, we started the day with a pancake breakfast and presents before Joe went to work.

Thank you to everyone that sent presents. She loved all of them. (Proper thank you's will go out soon!)

Mia got to choose something special to do on her birthday and she chose to go to the Space Needle. Yes, all these pictures were the same day. Outfit changes are a regular thing in our house!

We live just a few miles from the Space Needle and walk by the base of it all the time but this was our first time going to the top.

I LOVE this "real life" family selfie.

It was so neat to see all of Seattle from above.

The girls just stared in awe.

My big 5 year old.

We got a light meal at the small cafe at the top and Mia later told me that her favorite part of the day was Daddy buying her Sour Patch Kids candy. Can you tell that candy is a very special treat?!?

Naomi LOVED the view. She was so sad when it was time to go down and has asked to go back to the top of the Space Needle several times since.

A gorgeous sunset with my oldest and youngest.

Instead of getting dinner at the fancy Space Needle restaurant we decided to get pizza at the kid friendly food court, which was a great decision! I love birthdays and letting my kids feel special. I hope Mia had an amazing 5th birthday. It makes me so sad that this is her last year before going to school full time, but I'm so excited to see her soar this year as a big five year old. We love you Mia!

Mia's 5th Birthday (Meow Meow)

Mia's birthday was Oct. 22 and we have been having lots of fun celebrating her turning 5! I have a lot of posts to get up but thought I would start with her party. She wanted a cat theme, which turned out super cute!

Everyone got a a cat and made a cat house/carrier for their furry friend.

The kids did such a great job decorating their carries with stickers.

Max tends to steal the show. ; )

The kids looked so cute with their whiskers and cat ears.

Mia didn't want us to sing happy birthday or light candles. She said, "when people sing, it makes me feel like I want to run away." We honored her request since it was her day.

This was the first piƱata we've done and it was super fun. We lined the kids up smallest to biggest and we made it through 3 rounds before it opened up.

Happy 5th Birthday sweet girl! We love you so much!
