Real Life

Moving to Seattle has definitely been an adventure and throwing a newborn in the mix has made things even more challenging.

Before we moved, we didn't realize how much work moving would be for us. We just figured life would be easy living in a fully furnished apartment, but so many random annoyances have happened during this moving process.

Earlier this week, Naomi fell when running across the apartment and hurt her arm, I took her to the doctor the day after it happened but the doctor couldn't identify the problem.  Yesterday, she saw an orthopedic specialist and had more x-rays, which identified a crack in her bone.  My sweet girl is now sporting a bright pink cast!

Joe has been amazing and pretty much took care of all the craziness that has happened in the past month on top of starting a new job.  I will take credit for taking Naomi to her doctor appointments! : )

We have laughed, cried (okay, I've cried), felt overwhelmed, felt peace, and felt excitement for what's to come.  As I sit here at 6:30am on Saturday morning while Joe and 2 of the 3 kids are sleeping, I can't help but feel so fortunate to be on this crazy adventure called life with these four people. I am so lucky.

After the home we were planning on buying fell through, we found an adorable house to rent in the most amazing neighborhood in Seattle.  It has a nice yard and is walkable to everything from the doctor's office to the library.  It'll make Joe's commute much faster and give me a safe, family friendly neighborhood with lots of parks for this kids.  We are so excited to move in in a couple of weeks!

My kids are healthy and happy, my marriage is strong, my husband has a great job, I get to stay at home with my little ones and the Lord is guiding us and we are slowly learning to listen.

At the end of the day, life is pretty good and we are still so excited to call Seattle our home.
