Us

Here are our family pictures that my friend, Caitlin took.  I know I already posted the link, but wanted to have them on my blog as well.
Life has been busy in the last couple of weeks with Naomi being sick, Joe traveling, and getting ready for Christmas.

Poor Naomi started with a cold in November, which lead to an ear infection, and then after getting better, she got RSV and bronchiolitis. At her check-up for RSV this week, we found out that she has another ear infection.  My poor girl can't catch a break.

I had my last day of work as mentor for a Kindergarten teacher on Friday.  It was a great experience and I was very happy with the growth I saw in the teacher.  I will definitely do this type of work again if the opportunity presents itself.

Mia is loving Christmas this year!   She loves learning Christmas songs, baking and doing Christmas crafts.  Her enthusiasm is contagious.  I can't wait to see her face Christmas morning when she sees the presents under the tree. It's going to be so magical!
Thanks for reading my random post.  I just wanted to give a quick update on us.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

The Christmas tree is decorated and the stockings are hung.
  Jingle Bells made

 and felt Christmas trees created.

The Parade of Lights was attended and Santa was spotted.

Our friend, Jack has been hanging out in lots of different places.

Christmas cookies have been made to share with others
and several Hershey Kisses were consumed when Mommy wasn't looking.

Naomi is wearing her I love Santa outfit

and my sweet little girlies, one blonde and one brown,  are ready for the jolly man to come to town!

6 Months

Naomi Kate
18 lbs (90%)
26.5'' (85%)
Diapers: size 3
Clothes: 9-18months
Food: Breast milk, rice cereal and sweet potatoes
Favorite toys: Things she can shake and put in her mouth.

Naomi turned 6 months on Nov. 26; I can't believe my baby is half-way to 1!
Developmentally, she is doing awesome in all areas.
We discovered that she has an ear infection. : (  Which, hopefully explains why she's been so needy throughout the day and not sleeping at night.  (My lack of posts lately are due to exhaustion and simply no time to sit on the computer.)

Naomi is the sweetest little girl

that loves to be held and
loves kisses and cuddles.
She can sit up on her own
and is beginning to make beginning consonant sounds (mama, baba, lala).

Words can even describe how much I love everything about this girl from her full head of hair to squeezable, chubby thighs.  I miss her when she's asleep and will keep her on my hip as much as she needs because she will only be this age once.

My friend, Caitlin, took some family pictures for us this past weekend.  I woke up this morning and was so excited to see them on her blog.

I love how they turned out.  She did such a great job capturing us being us. : )  Thank you Caitlin!!  Also, make sure you check out her Etsy shop because she is has some amazing pillows and artwork for sale.

Date Night

Now that we have found a great babysitter, Joe and I have been trying to go on more dates.

We went to Trans-Siberian Orchestra last weekend.
The show was AMAZING; I highly recommend it.
It was the perfect start to the Holiday season and a great time with my love.

Fancy Nancy

We took Great Grandma out for frozen yogurt last night and Mia reminded me of the book, Fancy Nancy.  This book is about Nancy, who does everything fancy.  She wears fancy clothes and uses fancy words.  It's a super cute book that I highly recommend for preschool/ kindergarten aged girls

After I told Mia that we were going to get frozen yogurt, she disappeared into her playroom.  When she emerged, I couldn't help but chuckle and snap a few photos.  She was so proud of her look!

When we walked into the frozen yogurt place, all eyes were on Mia.  It was quite adorable.

She decided to take the glasses and headband off while we were eating,

but put them back on for the walk to the car.
I just love being a mommy to a 2 year old!

Kisses

Naomi gives the best kisses.  They are open mouth and full of drool.
I think Great Grandma would have come all the way from Minnesota just to get a smooch from this girl.
